I can say that air filter is due (if she came with stock) at 12k. I just got changed mine.
Oil is prolly too, since it's recommended to change every 3k (am I right?)
Check the chain slack. Also it's good if you get her on a rear stand and release all tension from the rear wheel. Aligning should not be difficult. Chain might be due for replacement... can depend though.

I'm sure I didn't get everything : )

Sweet ride man. Power coating rocks!

I got K&N air filter. Installing went pretty smooth, just make sure you have a couple of bungee ropes to hold the tank upwards.

Here is a good step by step How to: http://www.shraz.net/motorcycle/f4i/airfilter/
It's a great write up, there are some other ones as well.

P.S. I see you are in OC as well, shoot me PM if need any help!

Last one should have been at 12,000. My manual says the air filter and brake fluids need to be replaced and a few things should just be checked. Nothing big until the next one, which is at 16,000.

By the owners manual its every 7500 miles, which IMO is a crock of ****. I do it every 3k with dino oil, maybe 5k with synthetic. What are you talking about with the rear wheel? If you mean for checking the chain thats completely wrong, you want the suspension loaded and the bike on the kickstand to check chain slack.

Thanks for correcting boredandstroked.

All deal with the rear wheel is for adjusting and realigning the wheel itself, and therefore sprocket/chain (not meaning disassembling anything!).

And check of the chain slack is a preride inspection, as well as integrity of it.

I just hit 13K on the way home from class today! Bought the F4i in May with 7,500miles. I will do synthetic again once I hit 5k miles and I KNOW that I need to do some work to that air filter. My chain is getting lose, back tire will need replaced before winter, and that darn CCTL is going to be replaced asap(when it rains for a few days)
