Hey all.. Well i was out saturday nite and i went to one of the local hang outs where some of the sport bikes gather, And i was talking to this one guy who had a 06 1000rr red and black and he offered to trade me his 1000 for my 07 600 + some cash.. Man it is very tempting but i had to pass.. I'm smart enough to know that 1000 is way to much bike for me right now but man i thought about it for a minute.. What would yall do in that situation???

 

I can't really say. Why did he want to down grade? 1000's are good, but I like that my little 600 is forgiving. Plus, the liter can easily pull the front tire and I'm not really down with that. I'd probably say no. The 600 is more than fast enough to break any speed limit in less than 3 seconds so it has more than enough power. I also hear that 1000's are a little harder to throw around the twisties because of the wider rear tire. Is there an increase in weight between the two?

 

Liter-bikes are a thrill, but I'd rather have the 600 for everyday riding.

 

You have a brand new bike...
...do you really want to trade it in for a used one that you don't know how well it has been maintained/taken care of?
the 06 LiterBike was over 10 grand when new... and he wants to give it to you plus cash, for your (used, for his purposes) 9 grand when new 600?
I'd be kind of suspicious on a deal like that.
