Ok, so I have been pondering the idea of selling my 1994 Honda CBR 600 F2. I bought it for $2,500. I have/ plan on putting around $1,000 into it. I owe around 2,000 on it. (I have only had it since August 08).

Here is my repainting thread.... https://cbrforum.com/forum/cbr-600f2-16/repainting-bike-pictures-80677/

Do I sell it for $3,500? Buddy said if I put new tires on it and new chain and sprockets on it, its a deal. My biggest worry is paying off the personal loan I have on and it and trying to get another one for a different bike. I have good credit but the way this economy is who knows.

Here are a couple bikes I found on Craigslist. Are these good deals? What would you go with?

And of coarse I cant find the other one i was interested in.

Yeah, they had a nice yellow f4i but the guy either sold it and deleted it or he/she's post was up.

My bike has 15,xxx. The only mods are k&n, Two bros slip on.

sounds to me like it would be a good deal for you to sell it
how many miles does it have on it?

my friend was looking at that RR the other night on craigslist

The first bike, the F4i is a little pricey, in my opinion. I purchased an 2004 F4i with 2188 miles on it and it was only $4150.00. It was on Ebay, but being sold by local a motorcycle shop owner who frequently sells bikes of all kinds. He fully serviced it, put on a new Jardaine exhaust, new rear tire, new oil, and a new paint job (from the paint fading).

I could have probably had it cheaper if I went through the auction, but I made a deal with him to end it early for that price.

As for the economy, I just got a $4500.00 loan approved at a local bank and it only took 10 minutes for the application, so don't think too badly because if your credit is okay and you earn at least the minimum required for the loan, you may be able to get one to buy one of these (or other) bikes.

I would see how hard it would be to get a loan first, then decide if you are ready to part ways with your current bike. Ultimately, according to your post, you will be profiting $1500.00 minus what you put into it.

Good luck!

i would sell it for sure and then for the same price you could get a bike around 6-8 years newer for $3500 easy if you buy right. and you could talk the price down on both of those other bikes.

Ok, sorry about the double post in one post lol, I was trying to copy and paste.

So, I think im going to keep looking around for good deals on bikes, I will see if I can get a loan. Since im from Michigan, I still have about 3 months until I can ride.

So.... I would rather not go out of MI to get a bike but ... that limits me to deals.

Kinda bringing this back from the dead. .... Buddy wants to buy my bike for 4,000....

What do I do???? I have put so much time and money in this!

I owe 2,000 on the, so I will have 2,000 to put towards a new bike. I was thinking of getting a loan for around 4,000. Really looking into a 01-03 F4i (I like the split seats) or a 04-06 RR.

Any new suggestions??
