What is the little light right below the wind screen do, I have yet to get it to come on.

Its simply a marker light. Cosmetic as far as I am concerned. It should be on all the time when the bike is on. Your bulb is probably burned out.

Yep, marker light. It's there so when you have a single-headlight lit (or when the brights aren't on if you have an RR) it'll help motorists see at night that it's a bike and not a single-headlight car/truck.

mod that little light of yours. Order a knight rider kit from tripage and have the light bouncing back from left to right very cool effect.
