Default help!!! fast idle rr7!!!

hi to all, ive been lerking around hear for over a year now and decided to buy a 600rr rr7 earlyer this year. i bought it with 1000miles on he clock and got a real good deal, unfortunatly a month ago i had a slow head on with a coach!! and bent the forks and crushed the clocks and lights, one month on and ive managed to get it all fixed but i have one small problem! the idle wont drop below 2700rpm!!! hot or cold!! its always the same, all that i can think of is that the speedo is brand new and has 0 miles on it! dose that afect the idle for say 500miles or so!??! ive chequed for air leaks, and the air bypass valve , the engine light goes out when you start the bike and everything is normal, revs fine just idles at 2700!! can someone help???????????
thanks

Sounds like the ECU thinks the engine is very cold and trying to warm up. Make sure the CTS (coolant temp sensor) is connected. I think there should be 2, one for the ECU the other for the gauge.

Found the problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when i had the crash the throttle cables got damaged, so i replaced them and everything seemed normal! but what i didnt notice was that there are two throttle stops one for each side of the engine, the left side had very, very slightly moved alowing alittle more air into that side of the motor, just that very little anount was enough to rev to 2700revs!!!!that side has a pressed metal tag for the stop ! wherethe right side has a cast ally bracket witch is much stronger. Anyway after ajusted, the motor now runs at 1400rpm, as was before the crash i tryed to lower it more but the ecu keeps it at 1400rpm all the time.
thanks marco mansi...
