Year and a half... I rode from Va Beach to Ohio, about 7 hours striaght with one 30 minute break for dinner. Plus gas stops, but no problems. I rode it to the dragon from Ohio, another trip lasting about 8 hours with stops. No damage what so ever. Look at the rubber that's in the bracket. It doesn't melt.
