Front end shaking?
Just now gettin my bike out for the new year and I've noticed the front end shaking a bit. Like when I hit a big bump and especially when the front wheels gets in cracks or grooves parellel to the road it seems to shake a bit. This is one part of my bike I"m not very familiar with. What do you think this could be? Bad wheels bearings? Something loose maybe? Thanks!!

Did you get a good heat cycle back into the tires? Did you compress and rebound the forks a bunch of times before you took it out? Did it happen when you used brake? If you put the bike up on a front stand, try having someone hold the bars, and then you grap the front wheel at about 4:00 and 8:00 (reference points on the wheel) and give it a lite wiggle. If you feel anything other than tightness, this could be part of the problem. And to compliment what Bobjoezx, said, by moving your bike forward and feeling in the clipons, do you feel and movement in the upper triple clamp? If you feel anything start at the brake pads first, sometimes one or both of the calipers will hang up slightly on either side and can cause the shake. These are just a couple questions that I do, to kinda get things moving around again.
As far as hitting stripped pavement, that will cause a slight vibration/shake in the bars but not necessarily in the headstock bearing. Make sure that you check nuts and bolts with a torque wrench during diagnosis. Don't forget to let the board know what you found out.

RE: Front end shaking?
Well didn't get a chance to do much today... After a warm day yesterday it snowed AGAIN today. My garage isn't insulated or heated so when it's below 20 degrees I don't venture from the house much. Will be back in the garage as soon as it warms up a bit. I'll be sure and keep you all posted. Thanks for all the tips, I will give everything a shot when I get back to it.
