First Oil Change
Okay, Im doing my first oil servicing.
Being that the Honda stealer is booked up for like 2 weeks before they can even look at my bike, and the fact it will end up being well over a $100 for them to do it, I decided to do it myself.
I've never worked on a bike before, I change oil in my car everytime.
Any tips? Anything I should be looking for IE: THe little metal shavings. EVERY tip/suggestion welcome!!!!
Off to buy oil and a filter.

RE: First Oil Change
Run engine for about 2-3 minutes before dripping the used oil!!This will make all the dirty oil warm up in the engine and come out of the motor easily!
tilt the bike to the sides..making sure to keep the balance
--this will empty alsmost all the used oil from the motor!!
Good luck

RE: First Oil Change
one of the bolts you removed to remove the fairing has that piece to keep you from crushing your plastic with your screw. Now what you are looking for is a screw where the size of the threads is way too small for the size hole it goes into. This screw will be a straight screw, not one that has a built in collar. And that piece goes in form the inside, the wide part facing the motor! Hope this helps.
