Default Oil change/Filter change interval

What up guys
how often on average looking for at least 10 responses
How often (mileage) are you guys changing your oil. I know the old 3 grand for cars is pretty much in stone for us over 25 crowd (programmed by parents haha)

I hear 5k sometimes or people still do every 3k on bikes, but not sure , trying to get a consensus , let me know what you guys are doing.

GO HONDA FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a 65,500 mile bike since new, i suppose i am less fussy about oil changes now, starting off with the recommended 6000 mile servicing (all done by main agent) to now between 6000-10000 miles.(some DIY some by local shop) with filter change of course, engine still purring like new ( albeit i 've got some carb problems see other posting) mechs going to replace the airfilter first to see if this cures it.

yeah already read your carb issue posting
thanks for the fast response, I have been doing the 6k thing and she's been fine with it then again I bought it at 1600 miles
changed it at 4k (just in case guy lied about the maintenance (trust no one haha) , then I am at 10k now so it's about fairing popping time for a change.
Thanks, I'll look for a few more replies but 6k sounds like my marker

I change mine every 3-4000kms, just like having fresh oil in there. It doesn't cost much if you do it yourself.

I agree with the above. The more often you do it, the better. As with my cars, I don't go over 3K miles on an oil change if I can help it.

from what i've read as well as using blackstone lab results...

no more than 2800 if you're using dino oil.
bike oil, change at 3-4K...and synthetic, 3-5K.
