Default another oil filter question

alright I have been looking through tons of posts made on this and some other sites and web page posting butit is still unclear what filters are correct for our bikes, what the real differance a "bike filter" vs "car filter" really is.

now as it seems a mazda filter B6Y1...... will fit and crosses over from what I think!! was the fram motorcycle filter PH6607? which would also mean the Mobil1 filter M1-108 would be correct as well as would The acdelco filter as well.

so what is the differance from a car filter and motorcycle filter?

I wanted to pick up the stock honda filter but the local bike shop did not stock honda filters so I picked up the Mobile1 filter and now I am second guessing my self.

if the car filters are the same I would just use acdelco filters after I change my oil again (I would never use fram) because the delco filters always seem to test really well when other companys run there tests trying to show how good they are acdelco is always real close

Get a Scotts Performance Billet Oil Filter which is washable and forget all this thought about oil filters...it's expensive, but eventually pays for it's self.

Blah.......just use a stock Honda filter. It cost like $6 bucks, no hassel just remove, fill, and install. That's all I've used and my bike doesn't knock that loud.

Default RE: another oil filter question

I went to the dealer I bought my bike from to pick up the HondaGN4oil and asked what the filter differance was and he flat out said he really did not know (honesty is a great plus in my book!!!!)
he also saidunless the bypass preasure was differant hereally couldn't say. and also said if the bike is under warr. still then you need to use the factory brand filter to avoid any rejected claims if something went wrong. so I figured since I made the trip for the oil I would buy the honda filter and sleep a little better.

I plan to ask mobil1 if it is indeed the sameand will post what I find.
