I use a K&N freeflow filter. Clean it every 10,000 Kilo's (6260 miles) lifetime warrantee.
Better airflow than OEM Honda.

Ordered an K&N filter (HA 1087) at my local dealer recently.
I've had it on my other bikes before too.

Shadow1, I received a K&N air filter today. They shipped it with out the oil. What type of oil is used? What can I replace it with? It must not be to thick or it would be hard to clean.

See, that's what happens when you moan about my dirty bike....!! he he
It's a special oil, TBT very sticky stuff. I'd call the suppliers and ask for the missing bit, or you can buy a K&N filter service kit for about $15 US. All new filters come with the sticky stuff, so tell the suppliers...............

OK!…..Today the filter for my car came…no oil.
In each package is a piece of paper with a caution stating that without the included oil I could ruin my engine. They were wrapped in plastic bags but don’t feel tacky or oily when I remove them. I thought that they might have been pre-oiled. Do you typically get oil with a new filter?

A little sidetrack:
My ex-girlfriend’s oldest daughter went pro, racing mountain bikes a couple of years ago. When I asked her if Chrisite had a sponsor she said,” Yes some one named K&N.” I said,” What does K&N have to do with Mt. Biking, so I looked it up.

Team K&N Performance

Edit: If they had a K&N dust filter over their nose and mouth I could see it.
