Default advice on upgrade?

i have a black/silver '04 rr with 9k. i'm tempted to trade up to a '05/'06because theyre relatively newer, less miles, lighter etc. besides the usd forks and slightly different body style, (front cowl, tail,) in your guys' and girls' opinions, is thisthat much significant difference enough to justify the trade in? i saw the'07 at the bike show and is amazingbut the rear brake is not appealing.i know the most important thing is to RIDE and hone skillsbut can't help deciding if 05/06 is better.

Well i would say that since i love my 03 and will prolly put another season on it ...do what feels right and weigh it out...do ya just want a new bike because ya seen the new 07 or are u really fed up with your 04? Id love to trade up to and 05 but really have no inkling to getting used to another machine. But what ever u decide make sure u post some pics if u do trade up....

IMO...there's not enough difference to trade in...now maybe the 07s...but also depends on what they will offer you in the trade. cause why take on another payment if it's already paid off?

+1, not a whole lot of difference to justify it in my book.

In the sport bike community, the rear brake is virtually useless anyway...what do you mean it's "not appealing?"

Haha, ^^^^ good.

I dont think there is enough to upgrade to. I wouldnt go from a 04 to an 05/06. If you really want to upgrade, I would go with the 07 cause that least there would be a noticeable change

i prefer dunkin donuts! lol. i agreethat brake light is track ready, but ive heard other riders (im sure not all starbuck posers) dont like it either. anyhow, so an 04 still has good technology like the 05/06. i think ill replace the bent subframe and keep it.

i'm a starbucks poser...i like all RRs...regardless of how it looks...so to me the 07 is beautiful, just as the 05/06 or the 03/04...

good choice...there just isn't enough of a difference...in fact...you can do the fork swap and what not for much less than springing for a new bike.
