Default 07 Maintenance

I have an 07 600RR with 20+K miles. What sort of Maintenance should I be looking at? I bought the bike this way and did what I think is a thorough inspection. The chain I was told was never replaced nor the sprocket but both appear to be in good condition. A little wear but nothing telling me I need to replace them any time soon. The bike starts and runs great. I get great throttle response and no weird sounds from the bike at all. The first thing I did was change the oil and filter with all synthetics and got new tires. No rust in the gas tank and the brakes feel good but will need new pads soon.

I am not new to rebuilding an engine and can do all the maintenance myself I guess I just need to know where to start. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

If its a 20k mile chain I might get a new one just for peace of mind. Make sure to keep it lubed and tightened.

Might want to do a valve check / adjustment if that hasn't ever been looked at.

Other than that sounds like you got the basics covered. New oil, new rubber, and will be doing the brake pads (do the fluid too)

Looking at the manual, It shows at 20k to check all fluids ( brake/clutch,oil/coolant/etc ). check the Spark Plugs, and brake pads. Other than that you should be alright.

Like Nate said I would check/adjust valve clearance especially if you have the knowledge and tools to do it yourself. I would check the coolant. If it looks dingy then change that out as well. Other than that you should be set.

There is manual for 07-09 in manual section. Download it and it has all the info you want/need.

Thanks for the Manual. So far brake fluid and oil have been changed. Spark plugs inspected and okay and the valve check clerences came out to .008 and .007 intake and ex: .011 and .012

The rest of the fluids and I'm calling it good.

Thanks for the tips.
