I know nobody has an actual release date for the 2012 CBR600rr, but based on the dates that previous redesigned models have hit the market, when is the projected date that we will see a press release?

 

Is the 12 getting a total redesign?

Someone linky some info. Most of my searching was fruitless

 

pretty sure there is no info yet on a new 600RR. If history repeats itself we should see the redesigned RR on a odd year. F4 came out in 99, F4i in 01, RR in 03 then a make over in 05 then redesigned in 07 then another make over in 09 and then again in 11. So maybe 2013 but nothing is offical.

Ugh, I have a chance to get a 2011 CBR600RR for a really good deal. Do I wait for the 2012 to come out or pull the trigger?

 

Personally I don't think that the 12's are going to be redesigned. Its pretty late in the year and I think if they were going to be redesigned we would know by now. I think we will have to wait until at least 2013 for a redesigned 600RR. I don't know if you currently have a bike or not but if you don't do you want to wait that long to get one? You can always pick up the '11 and use that until the redesigned RR does come out. Once it is out you can decide whether or not you like the current style or the new style better and if you like the new one sell the '11 and pick up a new one. If you like the '11 better then you keep that one and won't kick yourself for not picking it up.
