I'd pass also. No one would willingly put a salvage title on their bike.

Not sure if you can see it but basically he's got a buddy at Honda that told insurance that there was more damage than there really was, I guess so they would total it out and fix it but now it has a salvaged title
$1.5k with that story... that way I could ensure getting my money back if I parted her out. And you'd have 0 resale value if you're an honest enough person to give full disclosure to the next buyer. Relay that BS story and they'd offer you $1k for it.

Yeah I bet they would be.... lol,
Hey thanks Kuroshio for fixing my FB iphone TEXT link, i wasnt on home computer and was attempting to do from cell...... didnt work.
Well I was supposed to look at it today but he quickly had something else come up when i started to inquire more about the rebuilt title. I dont really understand what his angle is, he was all about me bringing cash in hand, said it like five times and all i said was that I wanted to look it over to make sure frame, forks, motor, etc. was ok and he lost his mind with me. I had stated nothing but facts he mentioned and how the rebuilt title dramatically reduces its resale value, I was just looking out for myself.
His last statement to me was "Ill just Keep it"
ahhhh, oh well, anyone close to WV selling a good bike and need a little over 3K?
also thanks for all your replies, when im in need for real world answers, I go to the people that live and breath "that world"
I want me a CBR!!!!!

That's the ripoff I meant: either a gun or a couple more people meeting you.

For future reference tell all prospective sellers "no cash". But you will gladly meet them inside them inside their bank, where you will hand them a cashier's check at time of sale. Of course this will likely exclude any test ride.

Now there is another rr here for sale with clean title, it's an 03 with 77xx miles for $4500 OBO, man which would be the better, 03 or the 05? Found this https://cbrforum.com/forum/cbr-600rr...05-06-a-33251/ while searching, not really worried about the extra 9 lbs. are the (inverted?) front forks a big deal? motor seems to remain same for those years, in that thread I posted someone said computer was different.... In what way?
I'm only asking because I'm pretty sure the guy with the 05' isn't gonna be willing to budge much off his 5k price but the 03' says OBO so that's a givin, as it stands I was able to pull together a wopping $3,800...... Hoping to get one soon
