RE: Difference between 03-04 cbr600rr and 05-06
Instead of the bolts going in from the side of the fork (perpendicular to the brake disk), they are mounted into the forks from the back (parellel to disk) on the radious, making them radial mount calipers. the advantage (i would surmise) would be stronger braking via the caliper mounting. probably vibratio too.

RE: Difference between 03-04 cbr600rr and 05-06
last week i couldnt pass up adeal for trading in my '04 rr with 9500k (prob. set up for race) for a '05 black tribal, stock with 1100k in basically mint condition. i had my heart set on the black tribal for a long time and went with the opportunity. im more of a street rider anyway. i can say that the difference is minimal, however i see a significant improvement with braking. it's more gradual(not sure if thats the right word)than the '04 which if i braked for a quick stop the front tire locked. the '05 does feel somewhat lighter, a little stronger midrange and the forks feel stiffer and front tire lighter, very responsiive and i can see how a mistake could not be as easily forgiven as the '03-04's. the '04is amazing too but i prefer a newer one where i'm the one racking the miles. you can't go wrong with either year. hope that helps.
