Default What is the recommended air pressure?

I have a 2000 CBR F4, and my tires max at 42PSI. I currently put 34 in the front and 38 in the rear. I am curious to what every1 recommends.

Depends on the tire & on what type of riding your doing.

You should run 42 rear and 36 front for street riding.

Pressure will vary tremendously based on the exact tire. For instance, I have a rear that is 22 psi at max load, another that is 28, and another that is 33. All Michelin, but all different tires, compounds, and profiles for different uses.

What kind of tires are they?

I have the same question; what tire pressure to use.

I am riding on stock size rims mounted to Bridgestone Battalax BT016's. Does anyone know what tire pressure to use for that set up?

This is what I put in my Michelin Road 2's.

36F 42B!, lower psi=more tyre contact and more friction which is leading to temperature rising which is rising the psi anyways... but for normal use stick to the manufacture specs.

Running lower psi on the street will cause premature tire wear and cupping or chopping.
Spec psi for street track is a totally different story though. I run 42psi in both tires on my BB on the street and get excellent wear and traction out of them.

I run 38 front and 42 rear on my Diablos and I couldn't be happier with how they run.
