I just went with the Honda synthetic blend. It's what it has always had. No real reason to change. It works good, and I am at 15300 and going strong despite a laydown and a washington winter.

Yep... and spark plugs too! Probably fork oil as well, I think that's every 10k or something

As far as switching, you've got plenty of miles if you wanted to switch to full synthetic, or just keep using what you're using it'll work too. It's really all personal preference what you want to use. I switched mine to Mobil 1 full synthetic at 5,000 miles and have been using it ever since. About to turn 60,000 miles now and still running strong as ever!

I have just over 10K miles on my bike and have always used the stock Honda oil or the equivalent 10-40 from quaker state. Change it 1 time a year. No problems...

It really depends how you ride your bike
but ya I doubt you really need a 16K valve check on a Honda

I went to full synthetic at the first oil change and haven't looked back. NO, it will not hurt your clutch to use synthetic. If someone has had a clutch go when they switched to synthetic then that is because it was already going out. Synthetic rocks, and with your amount of miles you will notice a bit of a difference.

Yea I've never once heard of a Honda actually needing any adjustments made to the valves at 16k, and often times even double that. When mine was in for a valve check at 41k all of them were still in spec, so no adjustment needed. Gotta have it done again pretty soon and see where their at
