since i got help on the last problem on my bike, i thought i would push my luck and try again. lol

the trip odometer on my bike works, but as soon as i turn the key off it resests automatically to zero. i could not find any fuses that are blown. any ideas? thanks in advance

 

This one sounds like a wiring issue. Maybe in or around your kill or ignition switch.

I have used this diagram in my manual many times for troubleshooting and installing things like my RFID ignition etc.

This could be as simple as your cluster losing power for some reason like a loose ground connection on the battery.
