cool.. I am going to do that to my bike to see if it helps.. I swapped the revised R/R in.. the bike does feel better but it did exhibit the same behavior after an hour ride or so.. I also upped the idle speed to about 1400.. before it was about 1250ish... see if that helps as well.

So, I think I solved my stutter issue. Bike has been stuttering bad for about a week now. Almost falling on it's face sometimes. Decided to build a jumper I could turn on and off while I was out riding to test my theory. Anytime I had the jumper wire connected from the battery to the fuel pump and spark plug circuit, bike ran great, even after I had been driving on the free way and stop and go, no stuttering at all. Even on slow take offs and when the fan was on. As soon as I removed it, the bike started stuttering again. I've decided to put in another relay in the tail that turns on and off with the kill switch by the throttle. The relay will put power directly from the battery to that circuit instead of running it from the battery to the switch and all the way back.

Unfortunetly I don't think I'll be able to test it soon as I just developed a weird tick on the left side of the bike. Sounds like a valve tick - only get it when I'm revving the bike, doesn't do it at idle or when slowing down with the clutch. It might be a rod knock, unsure at this point since I'm used to listening to rod knock from 1.6l and up civics, the 600cc might have a higher pitched knock. Fix one thing and another develops. lol Such is life.

I just cut the wires for the running lights... effectively making them turn signals only... to be honest it doesnt make a bit of difference to me about that.. I let it idle for about 20 minutes and the 2 times that the fan came on it seemed to be better.. only time will tell.

Mine are already disabled as turn signals - and running led front flush lights - still had the problem with power.

your problem is most likely in the harness going directly into battery on positive side,my 2000 f4 stator plug melted too,if you inspect it u will see the side of the plug into the harness is what melted.....just like mine.....untape the harness near pos. side of battery....just might fix it

Seems like this is a common issue, my 00 F4 did the same thing and it was in the shop about 4 times and they never fixed it, but mine only did it on hot days at idle when the fan kicked on, and mine was not a fuel pump because I had replaced 2 in the 4 years I had it....but a new 600rr seems to have fixed the problem

my started stutterin the last few days feels like a slight miss when im at a light and the fan runs for a bit i think its a charging issue though cause my blinkers slow down to if i rev it alittle everything clears up. batterys only 5 months old, its supposed to rain all weekend so im gonna look at a few things.

well i checked her out some old girls got a pretty good chargin system it holds 14.5 even a 1000rpm drops to 12.5 with fan and fuel pump runnin 11.4 is the lowest it dropped on the relay on the r rear side i was gonna run a wire from my extra horn relay over to it just for test purposes but it keeps .6 volts when the bike is off and that kept the relay from turning off. same thing with starter kill button wires behind headlight they dropped to 11.4 with fan running but kept low voltage when bike was off and wouldnt let relay close. so after runnin it on and off for 5 hours with no problems why i was checkin everything i decided it must not like it when its 100 out cause thats the only time it does it. its been fine the past few days since its been alittle cooler. ill see how it goes for now
