the only ones that realy seem to fit are the tire hugger/chain guard combo ones.. .they are usually around $50-60 for the cheaper ones..
the super cheap ebay ones that are a hugger only and promise to fit are actually made for the 600RR and do not fit...

Where can I find a $50-60 one?

Here is what you DO NOT want:

Rear Hugger Fender For Honda CBR 600 F4i 2001-2007 C | eBay

This is the one that I was talking about, but the only ones that I have found are like $90 right now... but it was similar to the one that you ended up buying:
Hugger Rear Tire WINNING Red for HONDA F4/F4i 99-06 | eBay

Good luck! I have toyed with the idea of getting a tire hugger.. but they seem kind of bulky to me attached to the chain guard.. dunno...

a hugger normally replaces the chain guard. they are not bulky and they are rather light, but installing them does require removing at least the left passanger footpeg. they bolt on instead of the chain guard (2 bolts on the left) and on top of the 2 rear brake line guides on the right side. it seems to hold them steady.

take note that unless you ride a lot in rain, or need to shave a few tenth of a second on the track doing 200 kph, they have no real function.

with the right color however they make the bike look ten times better

I didn't say that they were bulky... but to me they seem bulky.. my opinion...

By contrast, the hugger on a 600RR seems 'slimmer'

yea i got the "bulky style one" now im just looking for a targa seat cowl! its driving me crazy I find them and of course there $200 and i am willing to pay it now because im so desperate, but then i review the site and its always some 1 owner site who scams or went out of buisness 5 years ago and forgot to delete their site (yea right because people still send them money for crap not realizing there technically out of bus and dont recieve anything)... anyway yea i need a cowl. I just bought my smoke led tail light and that tire hugger that im going to paint gloss or flat black, now i just need a targa cowl to paint black or order black and the whole rear of my bike will be blacked out. thanks guys for the posts

edit: haha that first picture of the bulky one, that site 1tail is a scammer site. that guy that owns it owns like hundreds of scam sites! dont order from them.

Turbulenz, I stand corrected:-)

And if you are still looking there is a british company making huggers that do not replace the chain guard. They are mounted on the centre section of the swing arm,top and bottom. Don't remember the name though.

WEll unfortunately they were out of stock except in black and carbon fiber which runs $160+$40 shipping so I just told them to refund me! Back on the search again! and I just got ahold of the guy from targa and he tells me its illegal to use laquer based paints in california therefore they only sell the cowl for $159+shipping unpainted!
