Paddock Stand Advice
Hi all, I would like some advice on getting a Paddock Stand and Bobbins/Pins that match. Id like it to be at the budget end if possible. Ive seen some R&G M8 Bobbins for £24.
Do I have to get the corresponding Paddock Stand (M8). Also where do the Bobbins Screw into on the bike? Budget paddock stands seem to be about £30ish. Are these budget ones
fit for purpose? Any info/advice greatly appreciated.

Hi there thanks for welcome. Its a 2000 F4. It didnt come with a centre stand. After looking around the web you can get a Paddock Stand that goes under swingarm (spooless) that might be an option.
Ive also found this that might be suitable. Its really for Cleaning and Lubing Chain.

Hi why I was asking is because for the price of front and back stands and bobbins, perhaps you should buy a ABBA Stand with the front lift bar,it gets both wheels off the ground, I have had one for quite a few years they fit most bikes (with different kits you buy) and are a lot more solid than the pit stands ,Especially the front one, worth the price and last for years

As a note. I must admit I’m always fearful of dropping my bike when raising or dropping her off the stand. I just don’t feel confident. More so with the rear than the front.
I now use a releasable cable tie on the front brake, not too tight but enough to stop any roll on whist I’m fidgeting with the stand at the back.
Once she’s up, glad it’s done and much easier to work on. Then there’s looking forward to getting her down again lol.
