Great forum! I've picked up some good tips already. I've recently bought an F4 2002 reg and am trying to get hold of a 2nd hand centre stand for it.

I know this probably isn't a popular subject as most people want to take the centre stand off.

I'm struggling to find one on ebay for the F4 and was wondering if anyone knew if older model stands would fit? I've found a decent CBR 600 FX FY stand for a decent price and it looks very similar to the F4 stand in the pics.

I've also found an F4 stand, but it only comes with the spring, not the pivot pin so no idea how hard it will be to find one of those. Does anyone know if all the F4 models use exactly the same stand? This one is off a 2004 bike.

Also, i've found an assembly diagram of the F4 stand online and it shows there being two springs (main and sub springs) with the centre stand, but all the ones on ebay only have one (main spring). Is this gonna cause problems?

I believe the center stand was only on euro spec f4's I think the us spec bikes have mounts for a center stand too but they only came with a kickstand so im not sure how many people on here will be able to give you info on that issue or help with it. Possibly try to hunt down some european members or a european cbr forum?

 

Ok thanks for the advice. I didn't realise the US spec didn't come with the main stand. Mine's a Euro spec (I'm in UK) so hopefully there should be come 2nd hand kicking round over here on a Euro forum. Thanks again!
