Default Pit Bull stand

Hey it was weird today, i just rode my bike to my parents house to store it there while im moving houses and stuff and my dad wanted to ride it. So he rode off around the neighborhood and right when he gets back a neighbor drives up and asks if its my bike, i tell him it is and he just says that he had sport bikes but doesnt have them anymore and just gives me this stand

http://www.metricbikes-superstore.co...d-p-13036.html

Hes a nice guy and ive seen him around in the neighborhood and stuff and talked to him about cars and bikes, but how is the quality of this stand? Im just kinda curious, im glad cause it was free and i wanted a stand but im just wondering how good these ones are

I havent heard anything bad about the pit bull stand. I would just make sure you have the pads adjusted for the width of your swingarm. Keep an eye on it if you are doing any serious type of workwhile it is on the stand. The padded type have a tendency to slide and possibly fall off or get jammed around the swingarm and tire.

Nice find. Your dads neighbor just saved you a few dollars.

ahh, I'm sorry to say that is a really poor rear stand. But I'll take it off your hands for.... say $50 shipped?

Ok, as you probably are now aware you made out like a bandit. The PitBull stand is one of the most recommended stands on the whole damn internet. Whenever the subject comes up about "which stand to buy" the PitBull often is suggested. Good score.
(and note dwshultzy's advice on the tendency of padded types to slide)
