I can't seem to figure out how to send pm!

Anyway I was wondering about your front wheel. I know that both the 1krr and the f4i use 17mm axels. But I'm not sure if you were able to use your stock f4i wheel with the new forks.

I have a set of 07 forks coming but I have been researching but could not find the answer to that.

You cannot use the F4i wheel unfortunately. The biggest reason is because the F4i uses 300mm rotors *I think* and the 1k rr uses 320mm rotors. Either way the rotors are different sizes.

Just post a bit more and the system will transfer you from "registered users" to "junior member" and you will be able to PM people. Its our way of trying to keep spam and robots out of the forum.

Hope I helped!

I was already aware of the different sized rotors and ordered new ones...

But didn't know about the wheel otherwise.

Did you just go straight to an after market wheel or 1krr wheel?

Thanks for the info on the site.

I am using just an OEM 1k rr wheel. While it would be nice to have some aftermarket ones I don't have $2k to spend on them. I don't Know if the new rotors will mount to the F4i wheel because I went from an F4 wheel that had 5 bolts to the the 1k rr wheel that has 6 bolts.

Default front end`

i have completed most what i needed to do, however waiting for new calipers (ebay guy screwed me).

i have the stock clip-ons right now and they don't really clear the fairing well enough and notice you used wood craft, how much of a riser did you get?

2.5 inches but you might be able to get away with 2in if you want a lower feel.

so does 2.5 bring it back to stock height or above?

for me the lowness of the 1000rr clip-nos are OK, just the clearance issue

I couldn't tell you if it is stock height. By the time I ha the risers I had already sold the f4 front end.

Man I've been gone awhile, came back poked my head in then disappeared again! Getting ready to adjust my valves but I've been putting it off because I've been messing around with another oddball project vehicle. Picked this lovely little thing a few months back when I thought I might get out of the military.

And within a few months I've already ripped it apart serviced it and put it back together. Ironically I've been putting off doing the valves on this guy too. In favor of getting shiny thing to put on it naturally

Need to get back to the bike, Abby has been getting awfully grumpy and now I gotta readjust the CCT too.
