My F4 mod log.
I'm pretty sure this one was crazy fluke, because I was just going to swap over my penske until I found out that it was going to cost about $500 to swap the top and bottom mounts so it would fit. I was super pissed but I started looking on eBay, this was an insane case or fate/luck/divine intervention (something cuz it just fell in my lap after a week of looking). Now the hard part is selling my old performance parts like the penske
I loved the penske, and I honestly would trade the ohlins for a penske if it were a free one to one swap in a heart beat. I really liked that shock the adjustability was insane! Much more than my current Ohlins but oh well. The forks are currently just the Showas with goodies inside; I was going to put in a set of Traxxion AK-20 cartridges but if I keep the Ohlins Shock and can find a set of Ohlins cartridges, I would put them in over the traxxion so it matches, I'm weird and like matching sets. I need to make sure that I am allowed to swap fork tubes before I start looking for whole forks. Plus those gold fork tubes draw a ton of unwanted attention to them.
Yeah you are right about that, but that is how it is when you live in Cali, haha thankful that I live in a small town in Central Va. I just can't wait to do this conversion I know the 'ol girl is going to feel A LOT different, its going to be great.
Oh Cali doesn't care too much about what I do to the bike. It's really weird, we have all these restrictions on bike like adding evap canisters, different jetting and ignition timing, different maps for the FI guys; but once you roll that bike off the lot the regulation stops, now yes you can get pulled over for flush turn signals, aftermarket parts, and yada yada, but I have had no problems as long as I keep the plate visible and don't ride like a doucher. We don't have to pass smog, there are no inspections to get registered there are no cc or hp limits. It's real hands off once the bike is off the lot, really weird actually but I can't complain because my bikes vins says it came from Ohio so I wouldn't pass smog anyways.
I meant what race orgs would let me replace whole forks or I need to keep the OEM fork tubes (would assume that I would be in an open class because I swapped front and rear ends, guess I'm going to do endurance races or stick to club with this bike, chit).

Everything but the shock is for a 600rr = swinger, brake caliper /disc, rear mc, wheel, sprocket, axle, spacers, adjusters, etc. I didn't want to have fitment issues so I replaced everything; plus the 600rr wheel's "spoke" design matches the front 1000rr wheel's so it looks better and more uniform /less parts bolted on. I like
Ok I just wanted to make sure because I am getting yet another rear end from a guy down in FL. He made me one heck of a deal on everything ($400) and that was EVERYTHING on the rear end of his bike + the bike only has 8k miles on it a lot better than my bike with 35k, but I just wanted to make sure that I had everything now.
