Default Help, tail light install gone wrong!

Well I decided I was going to put my integrated tail light in today, well I ****ed up somewhere.

I plugged the tail light in and worked good. Next, I plugged the turn signals in and blew somthing. The odometer wouldn't work and the tail light and turn signals won't work now.

I looked at the little fuse box under the seat and there were only 4 10amp fuses.. None of them were blown. I swapped back out to stock lights and still won't work. I had to of blown a fuse but don't know where to find it. Can you guys shed any light on this?

While I am on the topic what the hell do you do about wiring this thing up. I understand the tail light/brake light/running light but for the turn signals there is only 1 wire for the left/right. What the hell do I hook that to? I hooked it up to the positive side and it got me where I am now.

I'm not the most electrical inclined person but I can manage most of the time :P

well i looked in my manual and theres a main fuse 30a on the right side of the battery. it says its located on the starter motor magnetic switch under the seat. it also says make sure your key is in the OFF position before replacing fuses. maybe you had it on in the first place to cause it to blow? hope this helps

I had the same problem when i installed my tail light. You blew a fuse, i used a tool (dont know the name of it) looks like a screw driver that has light bulb in the handle and pluged it in and found out which one works the turn signal and used that port, if you use the other one it will blow the fuse.

All the fuses I've checked are good so far.. The top two spots for fuses on the little fuse box with 10amp fuses are missing.

My buddy told me about a 20 amp fuse thats behind the front fairing? Could this be it, I havn't had a chance to go check it out yet.

i have no idea about the one behind the fairing, all i know is when i done it i blew a fuse in the fuse box right above the battery, and i think it was labeled on top of the box as horn/something else. it is a 10 amp fuse i blew, i just went out to check on my bike, sorry that is all i know.
