Bike needs 3 things to run:
  • Air
  • Fuel
  • Spark

That it would idle then die makes me think Fuel or Air. My F4i is doing that right now but I know it's cause of a lack of air... cause it's covered (remote starting to keep the oil flowing). The other thing is it may have fouled the plugs when at this point too, so you may want to check / clean them up.

Right now I am about to bite the bullet and just take it too a shop and let them work on it. And spend a couple hundred for them to fix it.. Or who knows.. It could be a 100$ fix.

^^^ Might be a good idea. ;-) Usually $85 at a factory Honda shop to diagnose. Depending on what the repair is, they'll sometimes apply that $85 toward the fix.

Good luck.

Ok.. One last attempts.. Got some input from one of my friends.. He says the ignition pulse sensor (in the crankcase) might be bad.. And if he was working on it that would be the first thing he would replace.. What do y'all think??
