Mechanical Help!
Hey guys I recently purchased a 2000 cbr600 a couple months ago and have been working on it for the past few months. Ive finally replaced all the plastics, turn signals, tailight, and exhaust, so its been a busy couple of months. My question is I noticed the other day when I took it for a spin around the block that when I would apply the front brake it would almost like get jumpy/shake, like the brake would have pressure, then let off then pressure again but in a fast rythm, like a let on let off in a fast rythm. There is some fork oil leakin down the fork i noticed. Would this mean that I have a bad fork seal? Just trying to get a general idea of what it might be before i take it in. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum & the new-to-you bike. Post pics when you can.
Inspect all aspects of front brake system...pads, calipers, rotors, lines, fluid, fluid reservoir. You could have low fluid, air in system, etc...flush, fill, bleed, & recheck. It could be a combination of things... If you're not experienced enough to do this, get it to the shop immediately! I would *not* ride it again til this is sorted out, repaired, & safe.
Fork oil leaking indicates a bad seal. Will need replacement.

Yeah what it sounds like is a bad rotor from what I have been reading. I had my uncle who was a bike mechanic look at it and he said they didnt seem like they looked bad. If they are bad, do you guys have any good sites to buy from. Ive been looking around and noticed they quite expensive. Will I need to replace both rotors, or just the one that is bad?

I would replace both.. Because if the front one is fried (figuring the guy before you knew how to ride and applied both brakes when stopping) the rear one is probably going to be almost fried too.. If thats the case...... I would inspect it tho.. Take some pictures and throw them up on here so we can see them
+1 on the bad seal for the forks.
Also welcome to the site!!!!!!!
