Grinding noise...

well I am not really a firm believer in the cam chain tensioner. It seams to be the so called fix for everything. I dont think it really is I have over 60000km on my f4 and i ride it hard and on the track and was told ever since it was new to replace it i never did. I bought one and it is still sitting in the same place as it was 7 years ago. my bike runs good.

The same noise has been discovered with several of my friends bikes witch are several cbr 600 f2, f4, f4i and one older modell cbr 1000.
Those who has allready changed the tensioner says that i solved the problem. inkluding the 1000cc.
some say change the chaintracks also.
Change your oil often!
Its also possible to eksperiment with thicker or thinner oil.

I have some of the same sounds going with the bike I just bought (2000 w/6400 miles).
A. There's a general turbo sound going on, high pitched whine thing going on.
B. Around 6000 rpm theres some clicking
C. (the weirdest) If I'm coasting to a stop (clutch engaged) in first gear, theres a high whawhawawa sound, but the sound isn't present if I'm coasting in neutral or 2nd.
Now it seems to me that A and B are probably related to the CCT, and C could be a tranny issue. Should I just live with the sounds, or should I try to solve the problems?
