my 02 f4i is making a grinding noise between 5 and 6k and the whole bike vibrate's but 7k and higher is fine (what is normal cruise'n rpm's?)and i heard some thing about a "cam chain tensioner" or something..is it easy to fix????

 

cham chain tensioner sounds like a bb in a pop can around those rpms.. mine is around 3000-5000, its not really a grinding noise tho.. there is a good write up on the cct... just search it... there is tons of threads on it

 

my 2006 f4i did the same thing and it was the cct on mine, but i wouldn't worry about it, i know other people that have f4i's with over 20k mi on them and i asked them about the rattling noise and they said they've had that for as long as they could remember, mine did it around 5krpm too, my 1000rr does it right around 4k so i wouldn't worry about it too much, unless **** starts falling off lol!
