Flat Spot @ 5-6k revs
Hi,
I hope you all can offer some advice please.
I'm a new CBR 600F4 '99 owner and my bike has a 'flat spot' between 5-6k revs. It is fine in 1,2,3 and 4th gear but struggles to pull through the flat spot in 5th gear but after 6k its back to normal. This is more prominent when accelerating hard in 5 and 6th gear. I have to change down into 4th to overtake anything. Accelerating softly helps it get though the flat spot easier.
The bike runs fine in neutral
The bike is in good condition for its age and has 24k on the clock.
The rear sprocket is 44t not the standard 45 (this was done before i got it so i do not know why) apart from this, the bike is standard.
I have already tried replacing the Air Solenoid and Air Filter to no avail.
