Hi

I'm new to Honda's & especially new to bikes with carbs, having just sold a gixxer 750 k5.

The reason for mentioning that is that having bought a superb example of a T plate (99 registered but 98 model), I have noticed a major and somewhat frightening flat spot at 4000 revs.

The bike has a rather crappy blue flame aftermarket race can fitted & I wonder if it could be this that's causing the problem or if its more likely to be a carb issue, or even if anyone has any experience / thoughts about what it may be - after all, for all I know this could be a common issue??
