F4 is making a clicking noise
So I went out to start the bike and noticed a slight clicking noise while it was running, at first i thought the engine was having a slight knock, but i shut it off, and when i turned the key to the on position and made that same clicking noise a few times then stops. I turn it on with no problem and sometimes the clicking noise starts instantly with start up sometimes it takes a second or two for it start making noises. When i accelerate the clicking noise is very hard to hear. It doesnt sound like the engine has a knock, however I am unsure why its making the same clicking noise when i turn the key on. Any help would be appreciated!!
thanks!
thanks!
The "moving key to ON" is a good troubleshooting hint. The fuel pump is the only mechanical-part I can think of off the top of my head that would be coming on with the key that could cause clicking.. it primes the lines when you turn the bike on. Maybe?
I will troubleshoot the fan, let it heat up and see if it kicks on properly. I have an F4i so i know it makes a whining noise when u turn the key to on, so i thought maybe the fuel pump was making that noise when i turned the key. Ive never had a fuel pump issue so im not sure what other signs to look for?
