Ok guys took the bike to the track for the first time the other night just to get a small feel of it. Well it was fine all nite made 6 passes. Today I go to take it out and I can here it ticking. Once I start to get the RPMs up above 4000 I can hear it A LOT. What do you guys think? A valve came out of adjust ment maybe?

 

Ok so I have a little more info. The noise is only heard well in gear and riding. All exhaust bolts are tight and sealed so not an exhaust noise. A buddy come over the other day with a stethescope and it sounds almost like its from the clutch area. Like in neutral just sitting u can hear it a little with it and once u pull the clutch in it goes away. Any ideas now?

 

Does it tick loud when she is still cold? If yes I'm pretty sure its your clutch cover. I had mine replaced recently because of the sound.i had seen a lot of cbr's had the same problem too.

 

It seems to be the same clicking no matter how warm the bike is

 

Even my buddy's blackbird had this continous ticking noise especially from the clutch compartment. He had his cover changed and there is no noise after that.

The Mechanic told us he had replaced many cbr's and blackbird's clutch cover where its a common problem for this machines.
