Well I changed the cct and put a manual APE in and it still ticks just the same amount. Anyone have any ideas? Does the chain itself need replaced?

Are you sure Its the chain that's making the noise?

It is really hard to tell without hearing it. More often than not motorcycle engines have a tick. It's perfectly normal. If it is loud or rattles on decel than it's possible you have tensioner problems. Can also be a sign that valves need to be adjusted. Shim under bucket is a fairly robust set up but nothing lasts forever and wear in the valve train can cause a tick.

I'm almost positive it it's the chain. I had a 94 f2 that had the ticking and a manual remainder fixed it. I'll try to load a video later.
