CCT still making noise

Whats it like checking the guides is it doable with the engine in?

Mine is much quieter now i done the oil change and i also wound the tensioner screw inwards as hard as i could, it now makes less noise when at normal temp and disapears
When the engine is very hot (when fan comes on) i am going to try a manual cct and see what the outcome is.

It can only be the guides or tensioner at fault really.

If you've made that tensioner as tight as you can - you will have some problems eventually with the cam guides.

Did that faint tapping go away that you heard at 7/8 seconds into your video?


(a little bit of rattle is to be expected by the way)

Its back again its a lot fainter then it was before the oil change but still there. Yer i have the normal rattles etc this sounds like a knackerd tensioner

Does any one know is a manual tensioner from a 98 cbr will fit a 99 f4?? Or know where i can get a manual one for mine

Did you ever figure the rattle out? I'm having same problem. thinking about installing a new Cam chain. curious if anyone figured out the problem before i ordered chain
