Default CCT still making noise

Hi all changed the CCT the other week and finally had a nice quiet motor.

Then after a few days the noise came back same as it was with the knackered
Tensioner. I have tried turning the screw to push the tensioner fuether in which made no difference.

any ideas what could be the issue

I bought my bike used and it was hardly ever rode so it had sat for some time. I took mine off thinking maybe it was sticking. I took some 8500 grit sandpaper and polished it smooth and so far its helped a bit. Not sure if that would work for you.

Could it not be that the cam chain has stretched beyond the opperation of the tensioner causing it to continue to rattle??

I tried uploading a video but it wont let me ill have to put it on youtube.

I changed the oil today and halfed the noise but still there.

I cant see how the chain could stretch and rattle if tension is continueously being applied.
The rattle suggests that not enough tension is being placed onto the chain i think i will try a manual cct see if that works.

To my knowledge the tensioner pushes on the guide arm which then puts pressure onto the chain is this correct.

Plus has anybody or does anybody know of a chain actually jumping on one of these? I know in theory it can happen but as 3 teeth are engaged in the chain on each gear it is a highly unlikly event to occur.

I think I am having the same issue... I replaced my CCTL with a OEM CCTL, did oil change and spark plugs and started her yesterday after about a week and got the same noise. Albeit it wasnt as bad as before but it was still there... Did you ever figure out what it was on your bike?

I suggest using a Manuel cct, check the guides for abnormal wear and tear.
