Anoying vibrations through my cbr600 FX
#11
Anyway back it out and in to listen to the difference. I backed it in just enough so the knocking was gone. Too tight and there is a wining sound if I remember correctly. If the knock is gone, hold the tensioner bolt or tighten the locking nut and give it a few revs around 4/5k. If there is no knocking then you are good to go. Put some thread lock on the locking nut and tighten it. If you haven't by now, search for the how to. There are a couple that tell you to take the whole thing apart and others that just tell you to do it by ear. I did this last June and have put over 13k on it without a problem. Just make sure you don't over tighten the CCT because that could really mess stuff up. I could also check my Haynes manual to see what the CCT mounting bolt torque spec is.
