1999 F4 with HISS
Hey guys I have just bought a 1999 Make CBR F4 and it has the HISS system on it.
I have got 3 Keys with the bike, the previous owner said one of them is the chip key or master key something. Other is the starting key regular one and the last key is the seat lock rear set key.
Now the problem is I am not aware how this HISS thing works.
Can some one please help me with it.
How does the HISS activates and under what situations does the immobilizer kicks in ?
If someone tries to fiddle around with the ignition on the bike will i be never able to start the bike again?
If the HISS locks the system can i use the masterkey to unlock it.
Scratching my brains to understand how this thing works. Pls help
here is the pic for your reference

I can have a read of the owners manual for more specifics when I get home later if you want?
The green light on the temp gauge is your HISS light. Its on for about 3 seconds when you turn the key to on and when that goes out the immobiliser goes off (i think?) im never really in that much of a rush to get the bike started! From doing a little bit of reading, if the immobiliser hasnt been switched off, the bike will crank but will not run.
My bike came with 2 keys. The ignition key can be used for the seat lock aswell. Both are black. Is your masterkey red?
I dont really know how it all works and havent really needed to, it does it all by itself!

Yaah pls if u can check the manual.
Yes there are 2 similar keys of which one is unused and other is kinda used. The used one when i turn on the key green light comes on and then goes off and u can crank the bike. Seems the hiss is doing its job well.
Now the question is what is the use of the new black key? Or its just like a spare key.

Alright guys i tried to program the new keys but wasnt able to put bring the ECM to programing mode. Followed all the steps correctly but my HISS light doesnt goes off and comes on when you disconnect the positive connector of the tool to bring the ECM to programing mode. The green HISS light stays on for ever.
