Starting Problems...
Well I'm about to go on a big Deal's Gap trip for 4days(That I've already pre-paid for) and as I figured my bike is showing problems.
Which I'm guessing it's regulator problems but want to make sure it's not the starter.
My bike completely died about a week ago with a 3month old battery. I figured I destroyed it with my heat grips since I was riding in 32degree(Sometimes less) weather and I was using them a lot. So I went and got a new battery.
It solved the problems and the bike ran fine(Got the battery about a week ago). But the other night(Last sunday) I used the heat grips when heading home. I didn't use the bike Monday and now it won't start. It just makes a fast clicking noise when I hit the start.
So I have to push start it off which works fine and the bike runs great. I'm just wondering if it may be the starter(Which I kind of hope because I don't mind push starting it)
Any pointers or ideas? (I know the R/R test but I'm not great with a Multimeter)

What does your battery voltage read before you try starting it ? You could just have some poor connections at the Starter Relay Switch. The starter requires a lot of current and poor connections will restrict that. Take the connections apart and clean/tighten them up and test.
I just rode it a little bit ago when I left to get some Chinese Food(Damn good).
Anyways I tried to start it up at my house and it turned over twice(Barely) then started clicking again. I push started it off and let it idle for a few minutes then left. Did a couple of hard 1st&2nd gear runs and kept it around 5-6k. I went about 4miles.
I stopped picked up the bike and picked up the food. When I came out I put it in neutral and it started up fairly easy. My gauge lights didn't flicker nor did it dim much when I hit the brake.
Before this battery when I used my turn signal the engine would sometimes flutter.

you really should do the reg/stator/battery test... If that doesnt show anything, hotwire the starter directly to the battery with probably 12 gauge wire min. If it doesnt crank on a good full battery its your starter.
The regulator is probably the most frustrating thing to pin down, I think all of us that have had the problem, always pick something else as the cause (usually the battery). 1st off the fault is usually intermittent as the reg slowly carps it. I was able to clutch start mine, but eventually the bike will run very rough & you don't want to let it get that far.
The starter motors a pretty good on Honda's (I've never had to replace one on any of mine), & with that in mind I'd ping the reg as the culprit. It only takes a good shop (as in trustworthy)a few minutes to test both, but just make sure your bike is warmed up when they do as the reg can show up fine till it starts to overheat.
