Speed sensor ... ??
Hi. Any help with this would be greatful thanks .. so I believe the engine from my bike is a 95_98 cbrf, the bike is actually a 91... The engine has three cables that come off the engine (pink, black, green ) believe this to be the speed sensor???? Help so is this an electronic pickup.. think they should go back to the speedometer cut way too short now though,. I have installed an aftermarket guage that came with a magnet for the front wheel as a speed pick up would eliminating this & connecting to the speed sensor work for the speed..
I also have no rpm reading, would this be the tach cable or would I need a connection to the R/R yellow cable for the pulse ....
Almost there but not quite....

On the wiring I found online & what came with the new clocks it states to connect yellow on my new clocks to yellow/black which I have & I'm getting no reading rpm on the clock,
Found a read up online where someone has taken a feed off one of the three yellows to the RR believe they come from the pulse generator ...
Hi, don't know which after market clocks you have, but generally if its the magnet type that attaches to the wheel for measuring speed, then it usually comes with a tacho cable that winds around a spark plug lead for induction and after setting up for use selecting 4 cylinder works out the rpm by induction

It has the settings on the clocks to set wheel diameter & number of cylinders, have no other cable or coil to go around the plug.. nothing in the paper says anything about that, states which cable on the clock is tach...
Would you be able to tell me,. On the f2 the RR is bolted to a plate behind the fairings. Does it need to be bolted to the bike, does it have to make contact with the plate it's self or could this be tucked away . Thanks ...
