Default Sounds rough (starting the project)

Ok here's the background:
1995 CBR 600 F3
11.5k Miles
Sitting 1.5 years w/o running
No work done yet

The PO thought it didn't start. Started fine for me with about half choke. This is what she sounds like right now. As soon as my bike jack gets here, I'll be cleaning the carbs along with a lot of other stuff

Sounds a little rough to me. While I don't have OCD, I am a bit of a perfectionist. Cleaning the carbs, changing the plugs & wires should take care of this, no?

good looking bike, unique color! cleaning the carbs and changing the plugs should fix her right up. however, the wires are more expensive than a mail-order-bride.

give it a go in a weekend and you should be happy with the results.

The color is GOING. My bud took a look at her (haven't named her yet) and said "Your new nickname: Bumblebee" (he almost got shot for that ). She is gonna be black & white with the Honda decals in chrome.

Lol @ bumblebee.

I wouldn't worry about the wires, or plugs for that matter. just take some carb cleaner, a wire brush and some compressed air to your plugs and it will clean them right up. I would definitely clean the carbs though. I threw up a carb cleaning guide in the F2 section if you need help.

Thouroughly inspect the plugs before you clean.Any discoloring whatsoever, replace. You can get NGKs at Advance Auto for about $7/ea,vs $11 at a dealer.

Re-pack that pipe.

Use a paper air filter.K&Ns do NOT work on our bikes.EMGO makes an OEM replacement for $25 retail.

My street F2 runs way rougher than that if she sits for 6 months. You lucked up.

If you're in Atlanta,I'll by that from you if you give up : )~
