race bike fuel pump removal
Just as stated, If I remove the fuel pump, will I be fine for racing purposes. I know my buddy has his removed on his street bike no prob, but would it work on a race bike just as well. My fear is all the high rpms may cause a fuel starvation issue.
Hey Bob,
I have read on the forums some guys run the bike on the track with no issues. One thing that a cbr owner said that always sticks in my mind is something like "If your fuel tank is less than half full, at wide open throttle on a straight over 1/2 mile long you might notice a slight power loss". Not sure who said it but i read something like that a few weeks back when looking into a fuel pump issue here.
Good Luck,
Blake
