Plate light
When I got the bike it came with a clear taillight with no light for the plate, is it illegal to not have a light? Now I moved the plate to the swingarm does anybody have any suggestions on a light for down there ?
you really should check with your local law enforcement. every where is different as far as plate/lighting requirements. here in cali riding with the plate where you have it would get you pulled over fast as hell.
generally the plate must be visible to the officer, be illuminated and have a red reflector

Yea same here, crusiers seem to get by with it but sportbikes get hasseled alot with tag locales. We dont have to have a reflector on it tho. Far as lightning it. try a lighted tag bolt, theres an ad on here that has em or google it.
I ran into this problem. So I took my light out and cut out the bottom section about 1"x3" then replaced it with clear plastic. So then the brake light would act as a plate light too...

if you put it in the stock location with no illumination i wouldnt worry too much unless the cop really feel like being a dick...then your screwed even if you have everything right, you arent speeding, and you even give him a friendly wave...i dont have a light on mine, and i dont worry too much.
