Seeing as how the slider shattered liek that, it's obvious he bought a cheapo one, which may imply that he didn't really care about the bike in the first place. Also, for a "professional job," that tail paint looks like crap. Buyer beware. I paid $2k for mine in March and it only had 9k miles on it, already had the Stage 2 jetkit and race exhaust, and it was in MINT condition. Offer him $1000.
Actually the guy who's got the bike is My son's boss and hasn't had it long at all and got it on a trade for some paint and body work. He hasn't done a thing to it other then ride it a handful of times. The professional I was referring to in my first post was my son, I was saying that he could help me out with the body and paint work since he's a professional who has painted every thing from high end street rod's to Ferrari's Actually I don't think theirs been any paint work done on the bike. Thank you for the input I agree after looking at a few other bike the price is to high and the high mileage has me concerned.
at this point if he doesn't come down I'm likely to pass, I might add a little to my budget and try and find something newer maybe F4.
Thanks Richard

Probably depends on the region. I picked up my 95 with 55k for $1500 a few weeks ago. It's pretty beat up cosmetically. Had to travel a bit out of the SF bay area to get it. My buddy told me just by bringing it back to the bay area I probably made $500. That might be pushing it, but there's NOTHING for sale for less than 1500 in the bay area.

YMMV. $2k for that bike sounds great.

I gotta agree on the F4 thing. The price difference between an F3 and an F4i is so small, that there's no reason to not just go with the upgrade, unless you want the F3 specifically to make it stunt bike or streetfighter, which it's perfectly suited for.

I got my 95 f3 with 39,000 miles on it for 800.. It has some cometic damage but runs pretty good. Needs some tlc, but for what i bought it for and considering the area i live in i got a pretty decent deal..
