Missfire?
Hi all, this is my first post.
Just been out on my bike again, new to me 1998 CBR600F, when I got the bike there was a full tank of fuel which had been in around 3 months according to the seller.
I have cycled 3 full tanks in the last few weekends and am still experiencing a slight issue at 3250 - 3500 rpm.
The bike feels like it is spluttering/ missing, nothing drastic and you can power straight through it. It appears most noticeable when sat at 30mph or 40mph.
I tried dropping a gear but the engine noise is too much for a newbie like me😁 I feel like a boy racer, so I have 2 choices change up and have the revs dip to 2500 or down to 4000.
The issue is only apparent at this rpm setting and doesn't affect the pull at all it's just annoying.
Please help, and Hi to you all.

Clean the carbs and see if if has a K&N filter. If it does that's likely what's causing it. This is a classic tuning issue. If you open it up it might do the same thing around 10k rpm. I'd recommend going back to the paper if if does have the K&N. If you know nothing about wrenching then you could try running a can of seafoam also. It's not a substitute for a carb cleaning but it can help if they're gummed up.
