have you done anything with the exhaust in the recent past? replace muffler or modify muffler? i know when i chopped my last muffler down into a shorty, i lost some power, and it acted up like that every so often. otherwise, if it was apart recently, id also maybe check to make sure you dont have any air leaks in your intake anywhere.

Well had the tank off yesterday and checked all the pipe work and cant seem to find anything it has a short stubby exhaust fitted to it which the previous owner had put on.i have a baffel for it that bolts in and reduces the hole at the back quite alot maby worth putting that in and see if makes a difference

well if the carbs were never tuned or jetted after that shorty was added, that could possibly do it.
