Couldn't you use the tubing from the old canister to the new one, or are they not compatible or something?
Any pros/cons for lifting the tail other than aesthetics?

I Didn't do anything to my stand, it leans a little more for sure but I have never been scared it was going to fall over! Check my photos of a good comparison shot before and after with all fairings on.
