Ignition advance rotor...
So where does it install? Near the pulse generator and clutch assembly I imagine. I ask because I wonder how much work it is to get to one if an adjustable is to be installed.
It's located on the right side of the engine. It's bolted directly to the end of the crankshaft. It's easy to get to. After removing the right lower fairing, you would remove the "Pulser Cover" which has about 6 or 8 bolts holding it on. This is a photo of it with the inspection cap removed. You can't get it out through this opening, you must remove the larger cover.

Will i need to purchase part #4 (gasket) if I am to remove the larger cover off?
And I read in some places that ignition advancers will help out your top end only, and other places mention that it only helps low end/midrange.
So which is it?

so you would fell the difference? ive been wanting to do some "go faster" things to my bike but dont wanna waste money
I believe that adding an advancer will effect your low or high end depending if you go positive or negative. I installed a +2 adv in my CBR. I definitely noticed more pull on the lower end. Also (for what it's worth), the engine feels different at similar RPMs (less vibration) and the exhaust makes a different tone. It took me a little while to get accustomed to engine feel vs speed.
Would recommend the mod.
